As the tragic stories from the hurricane hit the airwaves Music Power NY Founder, Greg
Jagenburg, a world champion swimmer and Long Islander, said, “We need a miracle!
What is the purpose of a charitable foundation if we do nothing to help these people
living in our back yard? They give us a reason to do this concert, but we need help in
making this night a success as we cannot do it alone.”
The event comes alive with some of the greatest musical talent together in one show. This
Music of the Night features Billy Joel’s music with Michael DelGuidice and the
band Big Shot, with legendary Billy Joel band Guitarist, Tommy Byrnes. Also
performing is the sensational Broadway star Ciarán Sheehan (Phantom of the
Opera) with Sarah Pfisterer. Sinatra artist Charles Gange with one of America’s
hottest new stars Beau Badrick, recently signed by Lady Gaga's Producers will add yet
more variety. Jagenburg turned to his friend Ray Negron, for help. Negron is New York Yankees
Special Advisor to the late New York Yankees owner, George Steinbrenner, and he is
also a three times New York Times best-selling author. To make this Hurricane Relief
Benefit Concert one that people will never forget, Negron who is deeply rooted in
community service is generously donating all royalties for the month of November from
his book Yankee Miracles, to help those in immediate need of assistance. The book and
his famed children’s books will be available at the event. Negron said, “We need sponsor
help desperately to make this event a bigger success. We are asking that people support
this event and rally behind a most serious cause to help the people of Long Island who
frantically need it in terms of food, clothing, and whatever else we can help with by
raising enough money through tickets and raffles. Now is the time for us to feel an
urgency to stick together as one.”
Two major foundations will play a very important role in assisting those in need, The
Dominican Sisters of Sparkill who focus on those in need including the sick, the
hungry, the elderly and the oppressed along with Island Harvest, the largest hunger
relief organization on Long Island.
Executive Director of Music Power NY Professor William O'Connell, said, "The stars
are aligning to come together to serve our communities and students here on the island,
but we need the help of people to make this cause one we will never forget as the list of
